1. Toyah feels tricked by Leanne and Rowan

The day of baby Rose’s funera arrives, and Leanne promises to pay for the service out of her own savings. Things get off to a bad start when Rowan spies on Toyah as she’s leaving the flat and the funeral car pulls up. Toyah warns Rowan that he’s not welcome.

Later, once the funeral is over, Leanne admits that she doesn’t have any savings, and it was Rowan who paid for everything. Toyah is sickened to realise that her arch-nemesis meddled in such a personal moment for her.

2. Toyah threatens Rowan

Toyah warns Rowan that she’ll stop at nothing when it comes to exposing his true colours. Rowan is shaken, seeing Toyah’s fierce determination to destroy his reputation.

Later, Nick comforts Toyah and they kiss passionately – unaware that a strange man is spying on them from the derelict builder’s yard. After sleeping together, Nick and Toyah agree that this can never happen again and they need to start keeping their distance from each other.

3. Rowan resorts to blackmail

Toyah tells Nick that she wants them to come clean to Leanne over their brief affair. Her determination grows when Rowan threatens to tell Leanne everything unless Toyah signs the NDA which gags her over The Institute.

Toyah warns Rowan that she intends to tell Leanne the truth herself, so he has no hold over her. Rowan spitefully reminds Toyah that the truth would destroy Leanne – and he’ll be there to pick up the pieces when it all comes crashing down.

4. Leanne is promoted

Rowan holds an Institute event at the Bistro and announces that Leanne has been promoted to the group’s ‘Level 5’ status.

Leanne enjoys everyone’s admiration as the Institute members applaud her, but Toyah and Nick are worried that she’s getting in too deep.

5. Toyah is cleared by the police

Toyah receives another visit from the police, who confirm that she won’t be charged for burying her baby.

Toyah is relieved that this part of her ordeal is over, but she remains deeply concerned about Leanne and The Institute.

6. Bethany is asked to defend Corey

Bethany lands herself a new regular job with a magazine, but she’s upset when she hears that her first job is to write an article defending Corey.

She decides to be upfront with Abi over the controversial assignment. Abi is troubled to learn that someone out there is still trying to create positive publicity for her son’s killer.

7. Stefan returns

Abi investigates the pro-Corey campaign and discovers that the villain’s father Stefan owns the magazine that has hired Bethany. It turns out that Stefan is also a board director of the production company which made a recent TV documentary to repair Corey’s reputation.

Abi realises that Stefan must have created the deepfake videos to discredit her after she spoke out publicly against the documentary. She reports Stefan to the police and the corrupt businessman is soon hauled in for questioning by DS Swain.

8. Kevin takes the law into his own hands

Kevin asks Bethany to lend him her security pass for Stefan’s offices. While there, he steals Stefan’s phone and hands it over to Max, asking whether the teen can hack into it.

Bethany worries when she finds out that Kevin has implicated Max in his crime. She begs him to stop involving her family.

Later, Tyrone receives a mysterious video which shows Kevin breaking into Stefan’s office. Kevin claims that it’s another deep fake.

Stefan tries to pre-empt Kevin’s next move by warning him that the incriminating footage from the office could land him in jail. Will Kevin risk his own freedom to help Abi?

9. Sabrina is Joel’s new target

Joel takes an interest when he spots Sabrina upset outside the police station. She explains that her brother has been arrested.

Joel hands over his business card and suggests that Sabrina should give him a call. He heads off, secretly pleased to have a new target for his sinister behaviour.

10. Paul insults Summer’s new boyfriend

Summer and Feli arrive at Billy and Paul’s flat, just in time to overhear Paul playing a derogatory message about Felix on his new Eyegaze equipment.

Billy and Todd try and fail to find the mute button in time, leaving Felix hurt as he heads out again.

11. Paul receives more news about his future

Felix heads off to the airport as his trip to Weatherfield comes to an end. Summer confides in Paul about how sad she is to see her boyfriend go.

Later, the occupational therapist tells Paul that it might be time for him to stop using his stairlift, but what will this mean for his and Billy’s future living arrangements?

12. Cassie becomes Ken’s carer

The Barlows fear that they won’t be able to afford a carer for Ken, who’s recovering following his recent accident at home. Cassie overhears them talking and agrees to do the job for a quarter of the price that a professional would charge.

Steve misleads Ken into thinking that Cassie is a qualified carer, but she sets the record straight on her first day. Ken is furious with Steve for lying to him, but can Cassie win him round?

13. Steve and Cassie grow closer

When Cassie turns up for her latest shift at Number 1, Steve winds her up about how she’ll have to cut Ken’s toenails.

Amy tells Steve that she can spot a romantic spark between him and Cassie. She’s amused when Steve stubbornly denies it.

14. Joseph lies about Chesney

The Winter-Browns face more problems at home when their boiler breaks and the landlord seems to be in no hurry to fix it. Dee-Dee advises Gemma that the landlord could be fined for failing to carry out essential repairs.

Later, Joseph returns home from spending time with Olly, one of his friends from private school. Chesney is upset when he finds out that Joseph has lied to Olly’s mum by making out that his dad runs a successful catering empire.
