Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) and Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) come to a big decision
in Hollyoaks later this week after they are forbidden from
seeing one another by Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi).
The teens, as viewers know, resisted their feelings for months,
with Lucas preyed upon by twisted Carter Shepherd (David Ames),
who practised conversion therapy on him, urging the schoolboy to resist his true nature.
With Carter behind bars and his ordeal at an end, there was nothing standing between Lucas and his beloved Dillon, with the two opening up about their feelings last month as they shared their first kiss.
Lucas has been busy with his exams in the weeks that followed, studying with Dillon by his side but, this week, discussion moved to sex, with the teen determined to make his first time special, telling Dillon he wants it to be with him.
The two embark on a plan to sleep together, with upcoming scenes seeing them caught tearing each other’s clothes off by Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) and James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan), who arrive home unexpectedly.
Awkward.
Despite their interruption, however, the young lovers are determined to have sex, with Dillon booking a hotel in a bid to make their first time special.
Lucas, however, isn’t quite sure about such a thing and thus lies to Dillon, claiming he’s been grounded.
But when Dillon finds out that Lucas hasn’t been honest with him, conflict ensues. Realising the error of his ways, Lucas subsequently apologises for his lies, with he and Dillon making up.
One thing leads to another and the two ultimately have sex for the first time.
Misbah, however, gets wind of such a thing and, fearing that the relationship is progressing too quickly, she invites Ste and James over to 67 Christledon Terrace for a chat.
In heartbreaking scenes, she forbids Lucas and Dillon from being together.
The ban doesn’t go down too well with the boys, who are finally in a good place after all that they’ve been through.
Dillon wastes little in time in pleading with Misbah, urging her to see sense as he makes it his mission to fight for a future with Lucas.
But Misbah won’t hear of it, sticking to her decision as she makes it quite clear that Dillon is not to see Lucas – and vice versa.
Dillon therefore arranges to meet with Lucas in the Folly.
The question is: just what will he have to tell his one true love? Is he planning on sticking to Misbah’s demands? If so, is this the end of the much-loved couple – known to fans as HayRay – before they’ve even really begun?
Or, much like they’ve done from the beginning, will they fight to be together?
