Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) and Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) have yet another

roadblock to overcome in Hollyoaks next week as their plan to take a little holiday encounters a pretty big obstacle.

The teens, who made their relationship official last month, are certainly owed

some happiness after all that they’ve been through, with the week ahead proving trying for the pair.

Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi), who attempted to split the young couple up,

has demanded that Dillon come with her to Scotland as she leaves for a new life with husband Zain Rizwaan (Jonas Khan).

Dillon, however, has refused to leave his boyfriend behind as he revealed that

he and Lucas have been seeing each other in secret.

Misbah berated him, claiming he’s too young for a relationship, but as Dillon listed all the emotions he feels when thinking about Lucas, the matriarch came to realise that she simply doesn’t feel that way about Zain.

What happens in the immediate aftermath remains to be seen, but the good news is that – by the end of next week – Lucas and Dillon are still very much in the village, which certainly implies that they’ve managed to talk sense into Misbah.

Lucas will likely be on cloud nine, as dad Ste (Kieron Richardson) – who was charged for his role in Ella Richardson’s (Erin Palmer) death – is spared jail time after the conviction is declared unsafe.

With things finally starting to look up for he and his family, Lucas is eager to get away and thus he books a holiday for him and Dillon.

But things aren’t as straightforward as the pair hoped as they can only afford the deposit. In a bid to try and raise the cash that they need, Lucas and Dillon put their heads together and attempt to start a business in the park.

Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins), however, tells them that they don’t have a permit for such a thing.

Will Lucas and Dillon succeed in getting the funds they need to stage their little getaway? Or will Tom prove too big an obstacle to overcome?

One to watch: Thursday July 11 from 7:30pm on Channel 4 streaming or Friday July 12 at 7pm on E4.
