Emmerdale’s Jeff Hordley has dropped a bombshell hint about Cain Dingle’s future actions against Tom King.

Cain, played by Jeff, sets out on an investigation of his own as he searches for his missing sister Belle Dingle, portrayed by Eden Taylor Draper, next week.

Charity Dingle is rattled when she learns of Tom’s (James Chase) abrupt exit from the village along with his job interview in Wales, causing alarm among the residents.

As Belle becomes harder to locate and concerns grow over her missed mental health appointments, Cain’s apprehension grows steadily.

Adding to the unease, both Cain and Charity agree to break into Tom’s home in pursuit of heavy leads regarding the sudden disappearance of Tom and Belle. Upon entry, they stumble upon hidden surveillance equipment and discover Belle’s phone stowed away in a drawer, reports the Express.

The pair are left disturbed when they come across the address of a cottage in Wales hidden within Tom’s budget book. Fuelled by fear and anxiety, the pair quickly decide to set off to Wales to unravel what might have happened there.

On their arrival to Wales, they’re met with a horrifying scene at the wrecked holiday cottage a terrifying sight of blood smeared on the wall and no trace of Belle. On whether Cain will succeed in bringing nefarious Tom to justice, Jeff candidly expressed at a recent Emmerdale press event: “It’s his little sister. If somebody hurts his little sister in particular I think there’s no saying what Cain will do.”

The actor dished on his character’s upcoming turmoil, saying: “I think it was almost inevitable that there’s going to be a time when Cain gets wind of what’s been going on and it’s always interesting now that Cain is now seen as a hero who will kind of save the day for these people but not in a very nice way.”

He added: “Everybody loves Belle so I think this is what we have to see. It’s an important storyline and it’s good that it’s been told over a period and they’ve not made it too short because these things don’t just happen over a few months.”

Discussing Cain’s potential actions, he speculated: “I think he’ll do what he needs to do to make things right. I think the older he gets the more mature he gets and less dangerous and the spell in prison showed him what it’s like to be away form his family but it is Cain and his DNA is always going to be within him so who knows what he’s capable of.”

In a juicy spoiler alert, Emmerdale has teased that viewers will be treated to a flashback sequence that will lay bare the chilling events between Belle and Tom at the cottage, transforming their seemingly idyllic getaway into a nightmare scenario for the beloved character.
