EastEnders Spoilers: Dean Twist Ahead of Exit and Rice’s Twisted Plan
EastEnders is set to air shocking and dramatic scenes next week as two key characters, Dean Wicks and Rice Colwell, take center stage.
Dean’s Twist: Dean Wicks is facing a plea hearing over Keanu Taylor’s murder ahead of his trial, leading to his surprising exit from the BBC soap. Dean had been framed for Keanu’s murder by Linda Carter, who sought revenge for the torment he had caused her. Despite Dean’s return causing further heartache for Linda, as well as drama for Jean Slater and his daughter Jade Green, no one questioned his involvement in Keanu’s death due to their past feud.
Next week, Linda Carter struggles to cope with her role in framing Dean. Keanu’s sister Bernie notices Linda’s distress as Linda tries to avoid questioning after Dean’s plea hearing. Following the hearing, Linda confides in Sharon Watts about the upcoming trial, fearing the truth may come out in court or that Dean might be set free. Actor Matt Di Angelo, who plays Dean, has confirmed his exit following these trial scenes, though the exact air date is not yet known.
Rice’s Twisted Plan: Rice Colwell’s financial woes continue to mount as he sets his sights on a new target next week. Having previously tried to scam Kat Slater and Jay Brown, Rice is now desperate to pay off a significant debt for Debbie’s care home fees, which are three months overdue.
In an attempt to gather funds, Rice decides to scam Sharon Watts by lying about an outstanding vet receipt. However, he feels guilty when Sharon becomes emotional about her late partner, Keanu Taylor. Rice visits Debbie for solace before deciding to come clean to Sonia about their debt. Despite Sonia sharing some good news, Rice admits their financial struggles to her and later informs Sharon about the true state of the vet bill, demanding payment by the next day.
In a bid to solve their money problems, Rice and Sonia both seek extra work, with Rice taking a temporary job at Fox & Hair. When Rice asks Sharon about the outstanding funds, a suspicious Phil Mitchell overhears. Rice is thrilled when Sharon agrees to pay the debt, but Phil demands an explanation. Sharon admits she has been neglecting the accounts recently, and Rice quickly makes his escape.
Later, Sonia remains hopeful when Rice lies about finding a solution to the care home debt. However, things take a turn for the worse when Sharon arrives, demanding the missing vet receipt, leaving Sonia and Rice’s financial situation even more precarious.
