Yellowstone actress suing for defamation over shock claims she abused and killed horses

Yellowstone actress Dawn Olivieri is suing numerous people who she claims have made false statements including shock claims she had abused and killed horses.

The 43-year-old drama series star made a court filing last month as she alleges the claims have negatively impacted her livelihood according to TMZ on Thursday.

DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives for Olivieri and have yet to hear back.

In the lawsuit, the actress alleges that several individuals have made false statements about her in order to damage her partnerships with third-party organizations and businesses.

Olivieri claims that one of those potential partnerships was with workwear giant Dickies as she had set up a campaign with the company.

However, she claims that when she had posted promotional images to social medial, users had engaged in a coordinated effort to kill her brand deals.

She claims that several horse-related influencers had made false claims about the horses at her sanctuary named Moon Mountain.

Olivieri says that among those claims included that she forced the animals to drink dirty water, was in support of starving the horses, and even killed newborn Arabian horses.

The actress insists in the lawsuit that her campaign with Dickies had fallen apart due to the accusations and it has also affected other potential brand partnerships.

Generally speaking, the horse influencers allege that Moon Mountain’s methods have led to numerous dead horses as don insists those claims have no legitimacy.

According to TMZ, Olivieri claims that she had actually reached out to the defendants personally but they have refused to stop making the allegations.

As a result the actress has filed the lawsuit for damaging her reputation and hurting her brand deals as a result.

In addition Olivieri is suing for other allegations including cyberstalking and trespassing at the sanctuary.

Perhaps one of the more serious allegations from the actress that she had received ‘terroristic threats’ due to an incident where she said one of the defendants claimed she could be ‘unalived.’

Olivieri plays two characters in the Yellowstone universe including Sarah Atwood on the flagship.

In addition she also portrays Claire Dutton on Paramount+ series 1883 which tells the origin story of the franchise.

She has had a career spanning two decades – which began in 2004 – as she has starred in TV series House Of Lies from 2012 to 2016 and been in films Bright (2017) and Den Of Thieves (2018).
