Emmerdale has aired a shocking attack from Moira Dingle in the latest episode.

Viewers have seen Moira acting out of character recently in the lead up to her suffering a seizure in a dramatic cliffhanger last week. Nobody in her life knows about the health scare.

Cain had previously threatened to end his marriage due to Moira’s erratic behaviour, but it appeared they were back on track until the latest instalment.

In Wednesday’s (September 4) episode, Moira saw Ruby speaking with Cain across the village and jumped to conclusions.

She later turned up at Mill Cottage to have it out with Ruby, accusing her of trying to “get into bed” with Cain. Ruby laughed off Moira’s accusation that she’d been “full-on flirting” with her brother-in-law.

“I’m not blind,” Moira insisted.

When Ruby asked where this suspicion was coming from, Moira punched her in the face. Cain and Caleb walked into Mill Cottage directly in the aftermath of the punch.

Moira insisted Ruby had been after Cain since she arrived in the village. When Ruby brought up that her sister-in-law was the one who’d once had an affair, Moira went for another go at her.

“You stay away,” Moira demanded as Cain dragged her out.

Back at the farm, Cain wanted to know whether Moira had gone for a blood test or made a doctor’s appointment, as they’d previously discussed the possibility of her going into menopause.

Moira was confused by Cain’s question, admitting she wasn’t sure if she’d made any appointments.

This troubling mystery around Moira’s condition will build up to the dramatic barn fire in upcoming scenes, where she has another potentially deadly showdown with Ruby.
