A Coronation Street youngster has got plenty of people talking after he revealed some big news to fans –

confirming he is now a “young dad”

A Coronation Street star has shared some exciting news with fans.

Actor Luca Toolan shot to fame playing bully Mason on the ITV soap – making his debut back in 2023. And it didn’t take him long to cause plenty of drama on the cobbles.

Viewers of the soap were left horrified as they watched him terrorise Maria Connor’s (Samia Longchambon) young son, Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall), so much so, that Liam even thought about taking his life.

However, in April, Mason was sent to a Young Offenders centre for threatening Liam with a knife. During the trial at court, Dylan bravely stood up to Mason, testifying against him.

But in July, Mason was back on the cobbles, after getting released from the Young Offenders centre. His return ruffled plenty of feathers – with Liam and Dylan left shaken.

Meanwhile, Stu Carpenter (Bill Fellows) has shown compassion for Mason, and managed to get him a job at his restaurant, insisting that Mason is trying to turn his life around.

Mason has also gotten close with troublemaker Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) the daughter of DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).

Away from the cobbles though, actor Luca shared some big news with fans recently. Taking to his TikTok account, he revealed that he has a new addition to his family.

Alongside a photo of him posing inside a university lecture room, Luca wrote: “Finding out I was going to be a young dad was scary.” For the second photo, he uploaded a snap of him outside wearing a harness that had a dog tucked up inside. He wrote: “But being a dog dad wasn’t scary it’s amazing.”

And for the third photo, Luca shared a snap of the adorable up. Luca captioned the post: “Give me name some suggestions,” and fans were quick to react to the soap star’s news.

Rushing to the comments section, one person said: “I got confused for a second there.”Someone else added: “No because before I swiped I was so confused I thought I missed a load of chapters.”

A third proclaimed: “You know how to get peoples attention with that first caption.” A fourth also penned: “Not me actually thinking you’re becoming a dad.”
