Coronation Street viewers are predicting a dark twist for Kit Green as he targeted

Craig Tinker in a recent episode of the ITV soap. The newcomer was seen trying

to get information out of PC Tinker, after recent drama for the detective.

Kit was shown trying to get Craig to confess to something, watching him get drunk before asking him about bent coppers and any dodgy dealings he may have been involved with.

Kit gave him pint after pint after Kirk had mentioned Craig was an honest man, with it clear Kit was up to something. Soon, Craig almost let slip about the time he’d helped cover up the truth behind the death of an elderly man named Ted.

Craig told Kit how he’d helped a loved one out before, but added he would not reveal what happened. Kit tried to get the information out of him clearly wanting something to use against Craig.

It appeared to be so that he had some leverage against him, after Craig found out Kit had bent the rules for his sister Gemma Winter recently. Gemma was caught stealing shoes from a shop and Kit helped her out to avoid trouble with the police.

But while many viewers believed Kit wanted to get information on Craig so they both had something to use against each other, some fans wondered if there was more to it. Viewers couldn’t help but wonder if Kit was seeking revenge on Craig for someone else.

Some fans wondered if Kit was related to or friends with former character Neil Clifton, the police officer involved in the grooming gang with Nathan Curtis a few years ago. Fans wondered if Kit was targeting Craig after Craig helped send down Neil.

Taking to social media, one fan posted: “Is Kit related to the police officer Craig sent down?” Another asked: “Is Neil Clifton the copper who was in Nathan’s grooming gang related to Kit and that’s why he’s so interested in Craig? As Craig helped get him locked up.”

A third fan replied: “Oh yes good thinking,” as another wrote: “Might be his dad no mention of him yet.” Another theory read: “Imagine if Neil Clifton was Bernie’s real son and Kit is an impostor to get revenge as Kit owed Neil a favour Wold be an amazing twist.”
