in a heart-wrenching plot twist.

The ITV soap recently aired a poignant episode from Paul’s perspective as he took one last tour of Weatherfield, knowing he’ll soon be confined to his home.

Paul, portrayed by Peter Ash, is on borrowed time after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease last year, and he’s chosen to bow out gracefully before the illness takes its full toll.

In tear-jerking scenes, his other half Billy (played by Daniel Brocklebank) persuaded Paul to let them cherish more moments together. But Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) voiced his worries about Paul’s wish to end things during Monday’s show (July 29).

Kit Green has a sinister side, according to fans

Billy proposed they should break the news to their nearest and dearest to help them “prepare themselves a bit”, to which Paul grimly responded: “Too painful.”

Despite confirming his decision to die with dignity to Billy, a visit from his sister Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and niece Carys made him realise he wasn’t quite ready to say goodbye, reports the Express.

Paul een quipped to Billy: “It’s my 34th birthday soon… I’m sticking around. Rude not to! “, leaving Billy ecstatic that Paul had put off his plans to end his life, culminating in a warm embrace as the episode closed.

The crooked copper, portrayed by Jacob Roberts, recently made his appearance in Weatherfield as Bernie Winter’s (Jane Hazlegrove) long-lost son, who she had given up three decades ago.

One viewer took to Twitter, stating: “I still stand by my theory of Kit killing Paul as he’s determined to ruin Bernie’s life and he’s already made a start by turning the twins against her and helping Gemma. I was under the impression that he could die during the two hander.”

A third fan speculated: “I have a terrible feeling that Paul will decide to end his life next week after a “Special day” with Billy as his MND deteriorates. Although I do not trust kit when it comes to Billy helping him with the suicide. Maybe kit tries to frame Bernie? #Corrie.”
