Actress Channique Sterling-Brown has teased shocking twists. Next week, it will be revealed that Lauren Bolton is not only still alive but also pregnant with Joel Deering’s baby. The truth came out last week when the teen returned to apologise to Roy Cropper but was caught by Joel before she could leave.

Previously, viewers finally discovered that Joel was the reason behind Lauren’s disappearance. Meanwhile, Dee-Dee and Joel are engaged, and Dee-Dee still doesn’t know his dark secret. Channique shared with Metro.co.uk at the Radio Times Soap Awards that the upcoming storyline would be ‘a lot to process.’

She expressed excitement for fans to witness it, highlighting that her character is deeply in love with Joel but has a solid moral compass. The soap star said,  “I think people are going to be tearing their hair out! But I think they’re still going to enjoy it! It remains uncertain if Dee-Dee and Joel will make it to the aisle.

However, the ITV actress expressed her eagerness to be part of a ‘Corrie wedding.’ She mentioned that she would love to experience the dresses and everything that comes with it. Additionally, previously, Channique dismissed the theories regarding her alter ego being called Dee-Dee Deering.

She disclosed that Corrie had anticipated this and filmed a scene addressing it, although it was cut. In the scene, they proposed the name Dee-Dee Bailey-Deering instead.
