Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd’s son has bagged an acting role in a major soap.

Reuben Shepherd, 10, will be playing Curtis, the son of Grace Black (Tamara Wall)

in Hollyoaks. And the youngster has already filmed scenes in Liverpool and fans will see him

on screen from September 30.

Looks like Reuben is following his famous dad’s footsteps as his break comes at a similar age to his dad’s, who began playing David Platt – Gail Platt’s (Helen Worth) youngest child – on Corrie since the age of 12.

A source told The Mirror: ‘Reuben is a chip off the old block. He’s already impressing on set and his talent is shining through.

‘He’s got a bright future ahead of him.’

Jack has two children with his ex- partner of 15 years, Lauren Shippey – Nyla Rae Shepherd, and Reuben.

But he has a third child with Sammy Milewski, who he had a fling with 11 years ago which led to her falling pregnant and giving birth to his son, Greyson Milewski.

Sadly, Greyson was born with Alternating Hemiplegia Of Childhood, which is a rare condition that paralyses parts of the body.

The 36-year-old met Hanni Treweek, a former script writer, when they were both working on Coronation Street.

Posting a series of photos on Instagram, the couple were seen kissing while on safari in Africa, with the first snap seeing Hanni showing off her new ring.

‘05.06.24 I said YES to forever!!! 💍😍🇹🇿🐘⛺️,’ she captioned the post.

The other photo saw the couple smiling at the camera following the proposal.

Their engagement came at the conclusion of a two-week holiday to Tanzania, during which they went on safari in the Serengeti before flying to Zanzibar for a luxury beach break.

It was while on the Serengeti that Jack proposed.

The couple have been together for six years, having first met when Hanni worked on the soap in the press office.
