Coronation Street’s Fiz Dobbs (Jenny McAlpine) and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall)

have had a difficult route to happiness, but things have been reasonably easy sailing

for the pair since their reunion in 2022 – until now. However, Fiz is taken aback

in the following moments when she meets someone from their past who might have far-reaching consequences for their future.

Next week, the Weatherfield fave is minding her own thing while shopping at Fresco’s when she runs across Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) in the parking lot.

Soap viewers will recall that the character was first introduced in 2019 as part of a human trafficking plot.

Fiz was taken aback when Tyrone said he was in love with Alina, and although the pair attempted to make it work, they finally divorced, with Tyrone moving in with her.

Their relationship did not survive, however, and Alina left the Street in 2021.

Despite telling Tyrone the opposite, it was widely assumed that she was pregnant with his child.

When Fiz encounters her again following week, she reveals that she has been invited to testify as a witness in a trial.

While Fiz is torn about telling Tyrone that Alina has returned, her decision is made for her later in the week when his mother Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) notices Alina’s name on an airport booking.

She takes Steve McDonald’s (Simon Gregson) taxi and helps Alina get into it before bringing her back to Coronation Street to meet Tyrone.

Alina is outraged that she has been tricked, but what will she say when she confronts him? Does he have a hidden child?
