Coronation Street’s Luca Toolan made his acting debut in late 2023,
portraying the character of Mason Radcliffe, a school bully however,
Luca isn’t the only well-known member of the Toolan family.His father, Mike Toolan,
is a popular radio DJ who currently hosts an afternoon show on Hits Radio, working alongside celebrities such as Brooke Vincent from Coronation Street and Gemma Atkinson from Hollyoaks.
As viewers of Corrie will know, Mason has been at the forefront of a distressing bullying storyline, relentlessly targeting Liam Connor Jnr since his first appearance on the show last year. The storyline, which saw Mason brandishing a knife at a terrified Liam, recently culminated in Mason being sent to a Young Offenders centre.
In recent episodes, Dylan, another young character on the soap, has been living in fear after learning that Mason has been released. Earlier this year, Dylan bravely testified against Mason in court.
His testimony helped secure justice, with Mason facing punishment for threatening Liam with a knife. However, in upcoming episodes, Maria, Liam’s mother, informs Dylan that Mason has been released after just three months, reports OK!.
