With September almost upon us, Coronation Street ups the ante, as confirmed in my new batch of spoiler pictures, with the ITV soap serving up dramatic peaks next week for a number of big stories.

With The Institute facing legal action from Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney), Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is desperate to get the situation sorted out, urging Amy to drop her plans to sue.

Later, she meets with Rowan Cunliffe (Emrhys Cooper), looking through his laptop when he’s called to reception. To her horror, she comes across a file named ‘Nick and Toyah’.

The question is: just what has she uncovered? Is Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Toyah Battersby’s (Georgia Taylor) big affair set to be exposed?

Elsewhere, Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) is delighted when Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) calls at the flat with Joseph (William Flanagan) and the quads, who are ready for their first day at school.

To mark the occasion, Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) takes some pictures of all of them together in emotional scenes.

Paul later goes through a list of things he’d like Billy to do after he’s gone.

But how will Billy react?

And the heat is on for Joel Deering (Calum Lill), as Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) gets wind of the fact that he used to work for a firm which specialises in helping vulnerable young people.

Will Dee-Dee get the information she needs to take Joel down once and for all?
