Helen Flanagan, who played Rosie Webster on Coronation Street, has shared the surprising reason behind her split from Scott Sinclair. The 34-year-old actress opened up about the emotional toll of their breakup in 2022.  Although the couple’s split was a mutual decision, she disclosed that their disagreement over a particular issue was a major factor. But what was it? Read on to find out!

Helen Parted Ways With Scott Sinclair Over Homeschooling Dispute

Helen Flanagan revealed one of the primary reasons she and her ex, Scott Sinclair, broke up. The actress recently appeared on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here and talked about her tough mental health struggles. She confessed that her psychosis might have been partly due to the emotional toll of breaking up with Scott in 2022.

Let us tell you that the couple shares three kids: Matilda, Delilah, and little Charlie. While on vacation, the former soap star shared her views on homeschooling, and Scott was clearly not a fan of it. She expressed her dislike for the school routine and her preference for spontaneity and freedom with her kids.

She mentioned considering homeschooling the previous year when planning a six-month theatre tour and wanted her children with her. However, their father was firmly against it, even though it would only have been for a short period.

Talking about the split, the actress previously shared, “It was a mutual decision, and, personally, I felt as a mum that this was the best thing for my children.” She wanted her children to witness healthy relationships and be in positive environment, as personal unhappiness can impact them.

The ITV star added, “I love Scott, and I know that he loves me, but I suppose we just don’t like each other very much at the moment.” She admitted that they don’t communicate much and that pretending to be close friends when they aren’t would be insincere.

Though their relationship has changed, Helen and Scott focus on providing the best for their children. For more updates on Coronation Street, keep checking Soap Opera Daily! The star’s journey highlights that the path to personal happiness sometimes means making tough decisions.
