Coronation Street has aired a new twist in Kit Green and Bernie Winter’s feud.
The Weatherfield PD detective recently told twins Gemma and Paul that he’s their long-lost brother, having been given up for adoption by Bernie as a child.
Kit has already shown a vindictive streak, as he’s turned the twins against their mother and even tricked co-worker Craig Tinker into making a damaging professional confession.
In Wednesday’s (July 24) episode, Gemma was fretting over the possibility of losing her family home because of her dire financial situation.
The money trouble had got so bad that a landlord was sending over potential clients to look at the house. But, to Gemma’s shock, one potential buyer turned out to be Kit.

Chesney and Gemma were completely baffled about why Kit would try to buy their house out from under them, yet he insisted his intentions were pure.
“After my mum died, she left me a bit of money,” Kit explained. “I’m trying to find somewhere to live around here.”
Kit said he wanted to buy Gemma and Chesney’s house so his half-sister and her family could stay on as tenants.
“It’s an investment for me. I buy it, you guys get to stay in your home. Everybody wins,” Kit told his sister.
Gemma was left speechless over Kit’s gesture, leaving Bernie annoyed that she’d been outmanoeuvred by her estranged son once again.

When Bernie privately asked Kit if they could get past their disagreements, he chuckled as he told her: “No chance. I’ll keep things nice for them two, but to tell you the truth, I don’t like you, Bernie. I never will.”
Will Gemma and Chesney discover Kit’s dark side?
