Emmerdale’s Ella Forster to be accused of baby lie
Ella Forster will be accused of lying about her pregnancy by Liam Cavanagh in new scenes on Emmerdale.
Following their romance earlier this year, Liam discovers this week upon Ella’s return to the village that she is pregnant – and takes things angrily.
Amid his struggles with coming to terms with being a father again, he shuns Ella as she tries to speak with him, and his bad behaviour is called out by Mandy D.i.n.g.l.e. Ella is left further humiliated when he demands she take a paternity test.
In new scenes airing next week, Ella invites Mandy to join her at her scan, and has given into Liam’s demands that she takes a test to prove she’s telling the truth.
However, while at work she starts to experience stomach cramps, which Vanessa takes seriously, and Liam checks Ella over.
P..a.d.d.y. tries to reach out to Liam the following day before Ella’s scan. Ella refuses to allow Liam to attend, though when things go wrong transport-wise, he ends up joining her at the scan.
The sonographer then discovers that a foetus cannot be found. Liam quickly jumps to the conclusion that Ella has lied to him, accusing her of never having a baby and alleging that was the reason she wanted him to not attend the scan.
He is later consoled by P.a.d.d.y in the village as Liam thinks Ella has stooped to a new low in deceiving him.
Yet is there more to this than appears?
Earlier this year, actor Jonny McPherson teased the complicated future of their relationship, after Liam was left “utterly betrayed and very upset” after discovering Ella had m.u.r.d.e.r.e.d her friend as a child.
“I think this relationship is now almost definitely cooked! I mean, never say never, but I would say it’s almost definitely it. I don’t think there is any coming back from it.
“On multiple occasions, Ella could have told him the truth. She had so many chances to open up and tell him about her past but she didn’t. And just the fact she moved into his house and they were actually cohabiting. He was living at such a close proximity to someone who had killed somebody’s daughter. So many layers of lies.
