Emmerdale is set to include a special scene in next week’s episode following the Euros final. On Sunday, July 14, England will face Spain for the championship, and Emmerdale will reflect this significant event. The ITV soap has confirmed that Monday’s, July 15, episode will feature Cain and Moira reacting to the match’s outcome. This episode will air at 11:30 p.m. as scheduled.
Emmerdale has also expressed support for the England team ahead of the final. Producer Laura Shaw said, “The whole team here at Emmerdale would like to send our huge congratulations to the England football team on reaching the final of the UEFA European Championship. We wish them the very best of luck for Sunday and are thrilled to be showing our support in Monday night’s episode.”
Emmerdale is not the only soap keeping up with the Euros. EastEnders recently referenced England’s semi-final victory over the Netherlands. In a scene between Harvey Monroe and Alfie Moon, Harvey asks, “You think we can go all the way?” to which Alfie replies, “We dare to dream, my friend. Dare to dream,” as they share a hug and begin to chant.
Meanwhile, Love Island is also making an exception for the Euros final. The Islanders will be allowed to watch the game, despite typically being isolated from outside events. The show’s Sunday episode will still air at its usual 9:00 p.m. slot, even though it coincides with the match.
Stay tuned for Emmerdale’s special episode on Monday, where Cain and Moira’s reaction to the Euros final will unfold, adding a unique and timely twist to the storyline.
