Scott Drinkwell’s (Ross Adams) whereabouts are the subject of

much concern in Hollyoaks when he suddenly vanishes,

with Jeremy Blake (Jeremy Sheffield) the prime suspect.

Jeremy, as viewers know, was introduced earlier this year as the

estranged twin brother of dead Patrick (also played by series star Jeremy),

which came as a huge surprise to Sienna Blake (Anna Passey).

Sienna, who was quite close with her twisted father, never knew that he had

a twin sibling and therefore she was wary of the newcomer, who has gone out of his way to prove that he’s a far cry from the sinister headmaster.

But despite his claims, Jeremy is harbouring a big secret, having a tattoo on his arm with a mystery date on it, leading viewers to speculate about what exactly it is that he’s hiding.

One person who isn’t fully sold on Jeremy is Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson), who was married to devilish Patrick. Upcoming scenes see the paralegal-in-training order Jeremy to stay away from her, revealing that she’s terrified of him.

Things take a shocking turn, however, as Dilly Harcourt (Emma Johnsey-Smith), – who has been very much pro-Jeremy – makes a sinister discovery, finding a shirt covered in blood amid Jeremy’s belongings.

This sparks concern, especially since Freya Calder (Ellie Henry) reveals that Scott has vanished – and he was last seen having a row with Jeremy!

Horrified, Maxine relays her fears to Zoe and Pearl Anderson (Garcia Brown and Dawn Hope), before setting off on an investigation of her own.

At Jeremy’s shed, Maxine finds Scott’s phone ringing!

But is everything as it seems? Has Scott been murdered by Jeremy? If so, does this prove that – despite his claims – he’s actually every bit as twisted as deceased twin brother Patrick?

Jeremy is quick to deny the accusations when confronted by Maxine, claiming that he accidentally wounded himself while gardening – hence the blood on his shirt.

But if this is to be believed then where is Scott?

As fans know, Scott is set to leave the Channel 4 soap, with actor Ross Adams having already filmed his final scenes. But is the much-loved character’s tale set to end in tragedy?

That remains to be seen.

Jeremy, meanwhile, will find himself in a dangerous situation of his own later in the week, with twisted Martha (Sherrie Hewson) staging her return – and taking him prisoner!

The incident leaves Sienna at her wits end, horrified by the monstrosity of the Blake dynasty, as she struggles to know who to trust. Just who is the evil villain of this tale? Is it Jeremy or is it Martha?

One to watch: Tuesday July 16 from 7:30pm on Channel 4 streaming or Wednesday July 17 at 7pm on E4.
