In the most recent episode of Coronation Street, Toya Battersby faces distressing news while in the hospital. Friday’s visit to Weatherfield, which aired early on ITX, revealed an unexpected turn in Toya’s storyline.

Earlier this week, Toya was taken to the hospital due to severe stomach pains and discovered she was pregnant.
Given that Toya recently slept with Nick Tilsley, the couple was shocked by this revelation, considering their recent decision to move on from their tumultuous relationship with Leanne, Nick’s long-term partner and Toya’s sister.
Despite the complications, Toya was eager to keep the baby, reflecting on the years she spent trying to conceive.
However, Toya learned the heartbreaking news that she wasn’t pregnant after all. While still in the hospital on Friday’s episode, Toya was informed that the positive result could be due to ovarian cancer.
