‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is unwavering in her resolve to heal the rift between her and her kids.
She is fully aware of the catastrophic error she made in planning her own death, a lie that not only shocked Allison Lanier’s character Summer Newman-Abbott, but also had an impact on Michael Graziadei’s character Daniel Romalotti Jr.
Phyllis finds it extremely difficult to heal the rift and win Summer’s forgiveness because the upheaval caused the greatest amount of harm to her life. There’s no denying that Phyllis might use a little help getting back in touch with Summer and reestablishing trust.
Should Phyllis and Summer’s reconciliation become a viable plot point, Jack could feel obliged to help make it happen. Phyllis would turn to Jack and make a sincere request, thinking he would be willing to help her with this.
Jack could even begin to see Phyllis in a new light as a result of this action. Even with Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) and her previous transgressions, Jack has shown a capacity for forgiveness. Could he show Phyllis the same grace?
It’s possible that Phyllis will hold onto the belief that if Jack can rise above her errors and missteps, then Summer and maybe even Daniel. On the other hand, asking Jack for such a large favor would cause Diane to lose her cool.
This is especially true if Jack begins to treat Phyllis leniently, as long as she doesn’t cause problems. With this complex issue, is Diane up to the task? When put to the test, the rehabilitated Diane can stumble if she isn’t watched out for.
It will be interesting to see if Diane can hold onto her newfound optimism in the face of Jack’s maybe softer attitude toward the lady who previously wanted to put her in jail.
If Jack is involved in Phyllis getting back in touch with Summer and maybe forgiving her, it might trigger a chain of events that seriously upset Diane.
