In shocking news, Hunter King, known for her role on The Young and the Restless, has taken a new career path. She
recently starred in Hallmark Channel’s “Two Scoops of Italy,” a romantic comedy set in a charming Italian village.
The film is part of Hallmark’s “Passport to Love” movie event. King plays Danielle, an American chef who has lost her passion for cooking and travels to Europe for inspiration, culture, and romance.
Despite her limited cooking skills, King embraced the role with enthusiasm. She admits to Soaps.com that she’s a novice in the kitchen, rating herself a three out of ten. However, she enjoyed learning to make gelato and honing her knife skills during filming. Fortunately, her on-set cooking was minimal, mainly involving placing garnishes on dishes.
To prepare for her role, King turned to the Food Network, particularly Guy Fieri’s “Grocery Games,” which she finds incredibly fun. Inspired by this, she even pitched the idea of a sequel to “Two Scoops of Italy” featuring a cooking competition in an Italian market with Fieri.
King also revealed her ambitions beyond acting. She and her boyfriend, Chris Copier, wrote a script set in Italy, aiming for a Hallmark-style film. While in Italy filming “Two Scoops of Italy,” they used their downtime to scout locations and add cultural details to their script, drawing inspiration from their surroundings.
Though they haven’t pitched the script to Hallmark yet, King is hopeful. She says they are in the final stages of preparing their pitch deck and plans to present it soon.
