In a disturbing new storyline, Emmerdale star Eden Taylor-Draper, who plays Belle Dingle, has opened up about her character’s shocking discovery next week. Belle is set to uncover evidence that her abusive ex-husband, Tom King, has been secretly filming her.

The revelation comes when Belle is asked by her landlord, Kim Tate, to check on Dale Head Cottage, which has been left in a mess. Accompanied by Lydia Dingle, Belle discovers one of the hidden cameras that Tom had used to spy on her. Despite Tom’s efforts to remove all the cameras after their breakup, he accidentally left one behind, exposing his actions.

Speaking about the upcoming scenes, Eden described the moment as “the most unnerving and sickening” thing Belle has faced. While Tom’s abuse has been both emotional and physical, this invasion of her privacy in her own home deeply disturbs Belle. She feels violated, in a place she once considered safe.

After the discovery, Lydia suggests that Belle should report Tom to the police, but Belle hesitates. She confides in Lydia, knowing how difficult it was for her to report Craig Reed for rape. Belle fears that going to the police might escalate the situation, and she’s torn about what to do next.

Eden explained that Belle finds comfort in Lydia’s honesty. Lydia opens up about her own difficult experience of reporting her abuser, helping Belle gain clarity on her decision. However, this conversation also brings up painful memories for Lydia, and while Lydia is there for Belle, Belle doesn’t fully realize how hard it is for Lydia to relive her trauma.
